Beirut Modern School not only believes in academic activities for the brain, but also in physical activities to help the child grow. At our school, students are encouraged to participate and join extracurricular activities and clubs of their choice, such as basketball, football, gymnastics and many more. Activities and clubs will take place after school hours & on Saturdays.
BMS has a library that offers students a variety of books to choose from including both entertaining and educational books such as:
Encyclopedias, references, magazines, stories and daily newspapers in the three main languages.
Our school librarian is always available to aid students in borrowing books and filing out reports to participate in reading competitions which are meant to encourage and motivate students to enjoy reading.
The library has a professional section dedicated for teachers.
BMS has indoor and outdoor playgrounds. Students from different cycles have their own playgrounds. There is also a basketball court and a football field that are used during physical education classes and for the extracurricular activities.
At BMS we have physics, chemistry and biology labs. These labs are equipped with all the materials that our students will be using during their education experiments and in class activities. In addition to the science labs, we have one computer lab. Our computers are all networked with access to the internet. Computer education is integrated in the learning process all through grade levels. During those academic years, we teach our students basic computer skills such as how to use the internet and e-mail, how to apply programming such as Scratch, how to communicate with others all around the world, in addition to the use of Microsoft Windows and Office Application such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, & Access.
BMS operates a cafeteria, which provides healthy snacks.
During 2005, BMS initiated the Career Guidance to help those students in Grade 7 till Third Secondary to orient themselves towards the major they desire to pursue their careers in.
BMS provides transportation for interested students to all areas in Beirut and its suburbs.
